Davidson, N.C. – The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to Davidson on a cool Thursday afternoon at the Davidson Tennis Courts.
Viktor Van Craenenbroeck picked up a win at No. 6 singles for the Guins.
At No. 6, he won by a score of 6-3, 6-0. At No. 1, Onder Balci won his first set 7-6 and Mihai Haita was in a 4-6, 5-5 match when the contest was decided.
Davidson (6-5) picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to claim the point.
In singles, the Wildcats won in straight sets at No. 2 and No. 4 and picked up a win by retirement at No. 3.
YSU closes out its trip to North Carolina on Friday with a 1 p.m. match at Charlotte.
