Charlotte, N.C. – The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 4-2 decision to Queens on Wednesday afternoon at the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
The Penguins (7-3) won two of three doubles contests and Ethan Dasset picked up a win at No. 3 singles.
In doubles, Chester Wickwire and William Rassat won 6-4 while at No. 3, Filip Avdeev and Mihai Haita won 7-5.
In singles, Dasset picked up a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles. The Royals won in straight sets at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6 singles. They clinched the match with a 6-2, 1-6, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles. In action at No. 5, Viktor Van Craenenbroeck was tied 6-2, 5-7 when the match was called.
The Guins are back in action on Thursday when they face Davidson. First serve against the Wildcats is set for 2:30 p.m.
