The Youngstown State men's tennis team won its sixth straight contest to open the dual season beating Walsh, 5-2, on Saturday night at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
The Penguins won all three doubles matches and four of six singles contests against the Cavaliers.
In doubles, Onder Balci and Ethan Dasset won 6-2 at No. 1, Filip Avdeev and Mihai Haita won 6-4 at No. 2 and William Rassat and Viktor Van Craenenbroeck won 6-0 at No. 3.
In singles, Rassat picked up a 6-0, 4-6, 6-1 win at No. 1. At No. 2, Balci won 7-6 (3), 6-2. At No. 3, Haita collected a 6-4, 6-4 win and at No. 6, Takamasa Mishiro won 6-2, 6-4.
The Guins return to action next Saturday when they play host to Niagara at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
