The Youngstown State women's tennis suffered a 6-1 defeat to Buffalo on Friday at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
The Bulls took the early advantage by winning the doubles point. YSU's Lili Minich and Line Greyling cruised to a 6-2 win at No. 2. At No. 3, the Guins held a 4-1 advantage before the Bulls stormed back to win the final five games and win 6-4. At No. 1, Buffalo fought off the Penguins for a 7-5 win.
In singles, Lorena Cedeno rallied for a 3-6, 7-5, 10-6 victory at No. 4 singles. The Bulls won four contests in straight sets and picked up a win at No. 1 singles in three sets.
YSU falls to 3-3 on the campaign while Buffalo improves to 8-0.
The Penguins are back in action on Saturday with a pair of matches at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center. YSU will face Toledo at 2 p.m. and Slippery Rock at 5 p.m.
