Columbus, Ohio – The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 3 Ohio State on Saturday afternoon at the Auer Tennis Complex.
The Penguins finish the season 13-12 while the Buckeyes are now 24-4 on the year. Ohio State will face Notre Dame in the second round of the NCAA Championships after the Irish rallied for a 4-3 win over Arizona in the early morning match.
At No. 2 doubles, Yeseniia Ovcharova and Line Greyling were in a tight 4-4 battle when the point was decided. Ohio State won 6-2 at No. 1 and 6-3 at No. 3 to earn the point.
The Buckeyes won in straight sets at No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6 singles to win the match.
