Box Score East Lansing, Mich. – The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to Michigan State on Sunday morning at the MSU Indoor Tennis Center.
The Penguins (7-5) had won their previous four matches before falling to the Spartans.
In doubles, YSU picked up a win at No. 1 as Lili Minich and Ghada Dirninger picked up a 6-2 win in the first completed contest of the match. The Spartans won 6-3 at No. 2 and 6-4 at No. 3 to take the point.
In singles, Line Greyling won her first set at No. 6 against Sarah Fazlagic by a score of 7-6. In the second set, she trailed 4-3. Minich was tied 4-4 in her second set.
MSU won in straight sets at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 to clinch the match.
The Penguins return to action on Wednesday, March 5 at CSUN.
