Cumberland, R.I. – The Youngstown men's tennis team rallied for a 4-3 win over Bryant on Friday at the Fore Court Tennis Complex.
The Penguins trailed in the contest 3-0 before rallying for the win with three four-set singles wins.
Winning in three sets were William Rassat at No. 2, Chester Wickwire at No. 4, Mihai Haita at No. 5 and Viktor Van Craenenbrock at No. 6. Van Craenenbroeck's win was the decisive triumph.
At doubles, the Bulldogs won at No. 1 and No. 3 while Onder Balci and Filip Adveev won at No. 2 by a score of 6-2.
Rassat collected a 6-4, 7-5, 6-1 victory at No. 2. Wickwire rallied for a 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 4. Haita also dropped his first set before coming back for a 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 win and Van Craenbrock also rallied for a 1-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory.
The Penguins wrap up their trip to The Ocean State on Saturday against Nichols College.
