Box Score Ypsilanti, Mich. – The Youngstown State women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Eastern Michigan on Sunday afternoon at Scicluna Field.
The Penguins fall to 1-1-1 overall while the Eagles improve to 3-0.
Eastern Michigan took an early 1-0 lead just eight seconds into the match. EMU's Olivia Sipsock notched her second goal of the year to give the Eagles the advantage.
Youngstown State had a pair of shots on goal in the first half delivered by Lenea Guerrero and Taylor Berry.
Naimoli faced five total shots in the first half and tallied one save.
Sipsock added a second goal in the 67th minute for a two-goal cushion.
Overall, the Penguins tallied eight total shots and seven shots on goal led by two each from Chloe Weiland and Berry.
The Penguins visit Canisius, Thursday, Aug. 29. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. in Buffalo, N.Y.
