Eugene, Oregon - Youngstown State junior Luke Laubacher earned Honorable-Mention All-America honors following action at Hayward Field on Wednesday at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
In his NCAA debut, Laubacher placed 21st in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.86 seconds in an extremely fast event. Laubacher was in heat three and placed seventh out of eight runners in that race.
Winning the event was Auburn's Ja'Kobe Tharp with a time of 13.18 seconds. The nine athletes to advance to Friday's finals all ran a time of 13.46 seconds or faster.
On Saturday, Esther Solarin makes her NCAA debut in the triple jump. Solarin will jump at 2:20 p.m. Pacific Time/5:50 p.m. Eastern.
