Box Score Cleveland, Ohio – The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Cleveland State on Saturday evening the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion.
YSU ends the regular season with a 9-11 overall mark and 3-5 Horizon League record. CSU improves to 19-6 and 8-0 in league matches. The Guins will next be in action in the opening round of the Horizon League Championships on Friday in West Lafayette, Ind.
On Saturday, Cleveland State took a 1-0 lead by earning the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3.
Three of the six singles contests went three sets. Harry Fouzas earned a 6-4, 1-6, 10-6 win at No. 5 singles. At No. 1, Nishant Dabas dropped a hard-fought 6-7, 6-2, 4-6 decision. At No. 2, Onder Balci lost a 1-6, 6-1, 6-1 contest.
The Vikings won in straight sets at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 singles.
