The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Cleveland State in their Horizon League opener on Friday night at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
Picking up singles wins for the Penguins were Harry Fouzas and Onder Balci. At No. 4, Balci won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0 and at No. 5, Fouzas won 6-3, 6-4. CSU won in straight sets at No. 1 and won three matches in three sets.
The Vikings earned wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to earn the point.
The Guins return to action on Saturday when they face Chicago State at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center. First serve is set for 3 p.m.
