The Youngstown State men's and women's track and field team will be represented by eight throwers at the outdoor season opening WVU Stan Romanoski Open at the Track and Field Complex at Mylan Park.

Events begin at 10 a.m. of Friday and Saturday.

For the men, Ryan Tetrick will make his YSU outdoor debut in the hammer throw and the shot put.

On the women's side, YSU will have athletes in the hammer throw, discus and javelin.

In the hammer, Krista Perry, Grace Sparks, Emily Wolf and Lexus Solarz will compete. In the discus, Perry and Solarz will throw the implement. In javelin, India Bailey, Valeria Young and Vanessa Greaves will all be in action.
