Williamsburg, Va. – The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to William and Mary on Friday at the McCormack-Naglesen Tennis Center.
The Guins and Tribe battled in doubles as all three matches were 7-6 contests. YSU won the first 7-6 decision at No. 2 before William and Mary won the other two contests. At No. 3, William Rassat and Nathan Favier battled back from 5-0 to take a 6-5 lead, but came up short.
In singles play, William and Mary won in straight sets in five contests. At No. 2, Nishant Dabas dropped a three-set contest.
The Penguins return to action on Saturday when they visit Navy. First serve in Annapolis is set for 1:30 p.m.
