Annapolis, Md. – Nathan Favier and Onder Balci picked up singles wins as the YSU Men's Tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Navy on Saturday afternoon at the Tose Family Tennis Center.
At No. 1 singles, Favier picked up a hard fought 6-3, 1-6, 6-0 victory. At No. 4, Balci claimed a 6-1, 7-6 (0) victory.
At No. 3 and No. 6 singles, William Rassat and David Alvarez Moreno dropped their contests in three sets.
For the second straight match the doubles point was hotly contested. At No. 3, Favier and Rassat earned a 7-5 win, but the Midshipman won 7-6 at No. 1 and No. 2 to take the point.
After playing five straight on the road, the Guins return home to face Northern Illinois on Feb. 16.
