Kalamazoo, Mich. – The Youngstown State men's tennis team opened the fall slate with strong singles and doubles efforts at the WMU/Vredevelt Invitational over the weekend.
In doubles play, the Guins claimed seven wins while in singles play YSU won eight matches facing DePaul, Butler and Western Michigan.
Picking up a pair of singles wins were Harry Fouzas and Onder Balci. In doubles play, Nathan Favier and Nishant Dabas were 3-0 to led the Guins. Asier Pena Ibanez and David Moreno added two doubles victories.
The Penguins return to action this Saturday and Sunday when they play host to the YSU Invitational at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
