The Youngstown State men's tennis and women's golf teams have earned the Horizon League Raise Your Sights award for the 2022-23 academic year, the conference office announced on Monday.

The Raise Your Sights awards are given annually to the best sport teams academically and is based on combined grade point average (GPA) from the current academic year. The award recognizes the top academic male and female team from each Horizon League institution. YSU's men's tennis team owns a 3.41 GPA, and the women's golf squad had an impressive 3.75 GPA.

 Eight different League sports were represented with men's soccer receiving the most representation on the list with five programs while three women's basketball teams, three women's golf teams and three women's tennis teams were recognized. Baseball, men's golf, men's tennis and women's soccer each had two teams earn Raise Your Sights awards.
