- The Penguins and Zips will be facing off for the second time this season. YSU picked up an 8-5 victory over Akron at Eastwood Field on April 25 in the first meeting between the two programs since 2015. That victory started a stretch of eight consecutive victories for Youngstown State.
- YSU will be going for its third straight victory and its 11th win in 12 games on Tuesday.
