Ypsilanti, Mich. - The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Eastern Michigan on Saturday afternoon at The Chippewa Club.
The Penguins took a 1-0 lead by winning at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, but the EMU claimed wins in five of six singles matches to take the victory.
In doubles, Cecilia Rosas and Maria Oliveira won 6-4 at No. 1 while Jessica Stanmore and Moka Ito battled to a 7-6 win at No. 3 doubles after EMU won at No. 2.
In singles, Rosas dropped the first set 6-3, before winning the next two sets 6-2, 6-2 to win her match. At No. 1, Lili Minich battled but dropped her match in three sets.
The Guins return to action next Saturday when they travel to West Virginia.
