Penguins Announce February Signees

Youngstown State Head Football Coach Doug Phillips announced the signees for the Penguins' class of 2023 on Wednesday afternoon.

Below is a list of who has signed to join the YSU program:

High School: First-team All-Ohio Division VII selection…was named the Division VII Northeast Inland District Offensive Player of the Year…named MVAC Offensive Player of the Year…passed for 3,360 yards this past season, rushed for 453 yards and accounted for 58 total touchdowns while leading Lowellville to 11 wins and a berth in the Division VII playoffs…threw 55 touchdown passes…was the school's all-time leading passer with 8,706 career yards and 124 career touchdowns…broke six school records during his high school career…completed 29-of-38 passes for 442 yards and tied the state record with nine touchdown passes against Jackson Milton on Sept. 16, 2022…named Honorable-Mention All-Ohio as a junior and sophomore…four-time first-team All-MVAC selection… coach was Andrew Mamula…has scored more than 1,000 points in his Rockets' basketball career.
