Puthita Khuanrudee finished second individually to lead the Youngstown State women's golf team to a second-place finish on Tuesday in the Nevel Meade Collegiate hosted by Cleveland State at Nevel Meade Golf Course in Prospect, Ky.

The Penguins' Red Team fired rounds of 311 and 300 in the first two rounds, respectively, on Monday to sit tied for first place heading into Tuesday's final round. YSU posted a 315 in the third round on Tuesday to finish with a three-round team total of 926. The Guins finished eight strokes behind tournament champion Cleveland State and three strokes ahead of third-place Central Michigan.

Youngstown State's White Team finished 15th with a three-round total of 999. The Penguins recorded team rounds of 340, 329 and 330.

Khuanrudee finished in second place with a three-round score of 224 (78-73-73). The senior's first-round 78 featured eight pars and four birdies. Khuanrudee's one-over-par 73 in the second round, which marked her lowest round of the season, included 12 pars and three birdies as she made par or better on each of her final 10 holes. She carded an even-par 36 on the front nine during the second session. Her final-round 73 featured 10 pars and four birdies as she fired an even-par 36 on the back nine.

Lizzie Saur tied for 17th with a three-round 234 (77-78-79) to earn her second top-20 finish of the season. The freshman's first-round 77 included 13 pars and a birdie on the par-four No. 12 as she fired a one-under-par 35 on the back nine. Saur's second-round 78 featured seven pars, one birdie and an eagle on the par-five No. 2. Her final-round 79 included eight pars and three birdies.

Danae Rugola tied for 36th with a three-round total of 238 (74-82-82). The junior's two-over-par 74 in the first round featured 10 pars and three birdies. Christina Lewis tied for 43rd with a three-round 240 (82-74-84). The junior's second-round 74 included nine pars and four birdies as she recorded an even-par 36 on the front nine. Madie Smithco tied for 48th with a three-round 242 (86-75-81). The sophomore's second-round 75 featured 14 pars and a birdie on the par-three No. 5 as she made par or better on each of her first 12 holes.

Victoria Gräns finished with a three-round 248 (86-79-83) while Jenna Vivo recorded a 250 (84-83-83). Ally St. Clair concluded the event with a three-round 250 (84-82-84), Tori Utrup posted a 252 (87-85-80) and Britney Jonda carded a 259 (86-86-87). Playing as an individual, Kelly Hutton finished with a three-round 284 (94-95-95).

Cleveland State won the tournament title by eight strokes with a three-round team total of 918. Youngstown State finished ahead of Horizon League members Oakland, Purdue Fort Wayne, Detroit Mercy and Northern Kentucky.

Bellarmine's Josephine Bonin finished three strokes ahead of Khuanrudee to earn medalist honors with a three-round score of 221 (76-70-75).

Youngstown State will continue its spring schedule on April 9-10 with the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational hosted by Bowling Green at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio.
