Box Score The Youngstown State baseball team hit a season-high three home runs en route to a 5-2 win over ACC-member Pitt on Wednesday afternoon at Charles L. Cost Field.

Brandon Mikos picked up his second win of the season after tossing a scoreless sixth inning with one strikeout. He was one of 10 YSU pitchers to appear in the contest. Lane Rhodes allowed one run on two hits and had two strikeouts over 2.1 innings in his first collegiate start. Nathan Ball was responsible for one run on one hit in the ninth inning.
With the game tied at 1-1 through six innings, Braeden O'Shaughnessy belted a two-out, three-run home run to left field in the top of the seventh to put the Penguins ahead 4-1. Lucero ripped a one-out double to left field, and after a two-out intentional walk to Dominick Bucko, O'Shaughnessy's third homer of the season gave the Penguins a three-run advantage.
Pitt jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second when Bryce Hulett led off the frame with solo home run to center field.
Lucero tied the game up, 1-1, when he led off the top of the fifth inning with a solo homer to left field.
The Panthers scored their second run in the bottom of the ninth when Jeffrey Wehler hit a leadoff double and came around to score on a groundout.
