Junior Mackenzie Simon posted the first shutout of her career and recorded a career-high seven saves as the Youngstown State women's soccer team batted St. Bonaventure to a 0-0 double-overtime tie at Farmers National Bank Field on Thursday night.

The Penguins improve to 0-5-1 while the Bonnies move to 2-2-3 on the year.

Youngstown State outshot the Bonnies, 18-16, and posted six shots on goal.

Junior Regan LaVigna led the Penguins with four shots while junior Marcella and sophomore Lianna Van Sice each had three shots.

The Penguins were most agressive on the offensive front in the second half pounding 10 total shots, including four shots on goal.

Youngstown State hosts Akron, Sunday, Sept. 12. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field.
