Winston-Salem, N.C. -- The Youngstown State women' soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision to ACC member Wake Forest on Sunday afternoon at Spry Stadium.

The Penguins fall to 0-3 on the season while the Demon Deacons improve to 4-0.

Wake Forest scored four times in the first half and added another in the 70th minute of the match.

Senior goalkeeper Zeeyana Jivraj tallied six saves and junior Maddie Root took the Penguins' lone shot.

YSU hosts Marshall in the 2021 home opener, Thursday, Sept. 2. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field.
