Dayton, Ohio -- Freshman Abby Knight scored her first career goal, but Wright State scored two late goals to lift the Raiders past the Youngstown State women's soccer team, 2-1, on Tuesday afternoon at Alumni Field.

With the loss the Penguins fall to 0-7-1 overall and in Horizon League play while the Raiders improve to 4-4-0 overall and in league play.

After a scoreless first half, Knight found the center of the net off a feed from Sammy Salatino just 43 seconds into the second half to put the Penguins ahead, 1-0.

The Raiders found some momentum and outshot the Penguins 12-4 in the second half and record two corner kicks to one for the Penguins. 

In the 84th minute, Wright State's Sindey Kemp's header off a corner kick from Reagan Clark found the right side of the net and knotted the match at 1-1 at the 83:21 mark.

Three minutes and seven seconds later, the Raiders to a 2-1 lead when Josie Krupp's shot richoted off a YSU defender into the goal at the 86:28 mark.

In the first half, the Penguins peppered the Wright State goalkeeper with 10 shots and six shots on goal, but none were able to find paydirt.

Marcella Sizer led the Penguins with four shots and a pair of shots on goal. Youngstown State goalkeeper Brooklynn Kirkpatrick talled nine saves and faced 11 shots on goal and 20 total shots.

Youngstown State closes out the regular season against Robert Morris, Monday, April 5. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m at Farmers National Bank Field.
