Volleyball Drops Road Opener at Purdue Fort Wayne in Straight Sets

The Youngstown State volleyball team dropped its first road match of the spring on Monday night, falling in straight sets at Purdue Fort Wayne. The set scores were 25-12, 25-8, 25-13.
The Mastodons posted a .375 attack percentage and 12 aces offensively, and they blocked seven YSU attacks on the defensive side. Katie Crowe had 13 kills, 10 digs and six aces, and Madelyn Wurster added 12 kills.
Aimee Beaupre, Josi Borum, Nadia Pace and Isidora Sisic each had three kills for Youngstown State. Lexie Beeke had a team-high eight assists, and Margaux Thompson contributed six digs. Amber Morris posted two kills and a block in her YSU debut.
The Penguins will try to bounce back on Tuesday as they'll wrap up their series with the Mastodons at 6 p.m.
