Box Score Green Bay, Wis. -- The Youngstown State women's soccer team outshot Green Bay, but dropped a 1-0 decision to the Phoenix on Thursday evening.
The Penguins fall to 1-8-4 overall and 1-2-3 in Horizon League play while the Phoenix improve to 5-1-4 overall and 2-1-3 in league play.
Green Bay's Lilja Bjorg Geirsdóttir converted a penalty kick in the 32nd minute for the game's lone goal.
Youngstown State, which outshot the Phoenix, 10-9, mounted pressure in the second half peppering eight total shots at the Phoenix goal. Senior Jordan Evans led the Penguins with two shots while sophomore goalkeeper Brooklynn Kirkpatrick posted six saves in the net.
The Penguins host Northern Kentucky, Sunday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field.
