The Youngstown State baseball team's game at Pittsburgh on Tuesday was canceled in the bottom of the second inning due to snow.
The Penguins led the Panthers 1-0 when the game was called after scoring a run in the top of the second. Zach Lopatka and Drew Dickerson hit back-to-back one-out singles, and Lopatka came in on a sacrifice fly by Andrew Kendrick.
The Penguins and Panthers will make up the game on Tuesday, April 4, at 3 p.m.
Youngstown State is scheduled to play its Horizon League and home opener on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Eastwood Field as part of a doubleheader with Milwaukee. The original home opener was scheduled for Friday, but it has been pushed back a day due to cold temperatures in the forecast.
