Tuesday's Baseball Game at Pitt Gets Snowed Out

The Youngstown State baseball team's game at Pittsburgh on Tuesday was canceled in the bottom of the second inning due to snow.

The Penguins led the Panthers 1-0 when the game was called after scoring a run in the top of the second. Zach Lopatka and Drew Dickerson hit back-to-back one-out singles, and Lopatka came in on a sacrifice fly by Andrew Kendrick.

The Penguins and Panthers will make up the game on Tuesday, April 4, at 3 p.m.

Youngstown State is scheduled to play its Horizon League and home opener on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Eastwood Field as part of a doubleheader with Milwaukee. The original home opener was scheduled for Friday, but it has been pushed back a day due to cold temperatures in the forecast. Any weather-related schedule updates will be posted on YSUsports.com and @YSUBaseball on Twitter.
