Moffett's Career-High 11 Saves Salvages 1-1 Tie Against Duquesne

Sophomore goalkeeper Kylee Moffett recorded a career-high 11 saves and salvaged a 1-1 double overtime tie against Duquesne, Sunday, at Farmers National Bank Field.
The Penguins move to 4-5-1 overall while Duquesne is now 4-2-2 o the year.
With the match tied at 1-1, Moffett denied the Dukes four times on one-on-one situations in the second half and stymied the Dukes on a penalty kick in the first overtime.
Duquesne got on the board first when Linnea Faccenda found Lauren Bell in the open field and, after evading a Penguins defender, Bell's shot made it past Moffett for the games first goal at the 39:37 mark.
Senior Kyler Lum scored her fifth goal of the season after taking a pass from Rasheda Abdul-Rahman and drilling a shot into the right corner from 25 yards out.
The Penguins outshot the Dukes, 23-19, but the Duquesne had 12 shots on goal to YSU's eight. Duquesne also held the advantage in corner kicks, 8-0.
Youngstown State returns to Horizon League play when it hosts Northern Kentucky, Saturday, Sept. 23, at 3 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field.
