Box Score Milwaukee posted a .299 attack percentage and had four players finish with at least nine kills in a sweep of the Youngstown State volleyball team on Friday evening at the Klotsche Center. The set scores were 25-19, 25-16, 25-19.
Setter Val Jeffery led the Penguins offensively with six kills in 11 attempts to go along with 20 assists and five digs. Lori Vanbeek and Sam Brown also had six kills, and Brown added an ace. Vanbeek, Brown, Sarah Varcolla and Morgan Tippie each had three blocks.
Milwaukee's Bridget Wallenberger led all players with 13 kills, and Jess Kalous was one behind with 12. The Panthers finished with 20 more kills than the Penguins, and eight of UWM's 15 attack errors came on eight YSU blocks.
Youngstown State will play at Green Bay on Saturday at 3 p.m. Eastern.
