State College, Pa. - Youngstown State's Nina Grambling set a school record in the 60m dash while Austin McLean established a new mark in the 3,000-meter run at the Penn State National Invitational which concluded on Saturday.
On Friday, Grambling posted a time of 7.47 seconds in the 60-meter dash to set the school record in the event. Grambling was fourth finishing behind two unattached runners and Syracuse's Shaina Harrison.
On Saturday, McLean had a time of 8:13.56 to set a new school mark by five seconds in the 3,000-meter run during the Invitational race. Eric Rupe had a time of 8:25.95 in the same race. In the 3,000m run, Ryan Sullivan posted a time of 8:32.19.
In the women's 3,000-meter run, McKinsie Klim posted a time of 10:11.84 to finish eighth in the event. Mackenzie Sturtz was 12th in the high jump clearing a height of 1.63 meters.
In the men's 800-meter run, Mike Navaratil came in seventh with a time of 1:54.53.
In the sprints, Carl Zallow posted a ninth-place finish in the 200m dash with a time of 22.32 seconds. He was also fast in the 60m dash recorded a time of 6.95 seconds.
Also at the Penn State National, Amber Eles had a time of 9.00 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, Arnaldo Morales cleared a height of 1.98m in the high jump and Caleb Lloyd posted a time of 8.34 seconds in the 60m hurdles.
