Abby Kenski's Goal Salvages Women's Soccer's 1-1 Double Overtime Tie Against Wright State

Youngstown -- Freshman Abby Kenski scored her second goal of the season and the Youngstown State women's soccer team salvaged a 1-1 double-overtime tie against Horizon League foe Wright State on Wednesday evening at Farmers National Bank Field.
The Penguins move to 4-4-2 overall and 0-0-1 in the Horizon League while the Raiders are 3-6-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the league.
Trailing 1-0, Kenski found a loose ball in the box and lofted a shot into the left corner of the goal to tie the match at the 66:06 mark. Senior Chelsey Haney was credited with the assist on the play.
Wright State took an early 1-0 lead when Natalie Sedlock dribbled down the right side of the field and ripped a shot into the left corner at the 12:10 mark.
The Penguins were more aggressive after halftime recording nine shots, including six in the second half and three in the second overtime. Overall, the Raiders outshot the Penguins, 16-14.
In the 106th minute, junior Katie Hohmann laced a shot over the goal, and freshman Katie Hackos nearly missed a game-winning goal in the 107th minute after her shot sailed just high.
Senior goalkeeper Jackie Podolsky recorded three saves and senior Cara Armstrong led the Penguins with four shots.
The Penguins host Milwaukee, Saturday, Sept. 27. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field.
