Podolsky Snags Career-High 11 Saves in Women's Soccer's 1-0 Loss to New Hampshire

Burlington, Vermont -- Senior goalkeeper Jackie Podolsky collected a career-high 11 saves, but her effort was not enough as the Youngstown State women's soccer team dropped the 2014 season opener to New Hampshire, 1-0, on Friday.
The Penguins and Wildcats battled through a scoreless tie for more than 78 minutes before New Hampshire's Brooke Murphy scored at the 78:17 mark of the match.
Murphy handled a pass from Hannan Blondin at the 18 and fired into the bottom-left corner of the net.
Podolsky faced a total of 17 shots, including 12 shots on goal, and four corner kicks while the Penguins took four shots and had two shots on goal.
Senior Kearsten Sego and freshman Katie Hackos each had attempts on goal for the Penguins.
The Penguins take on Vermont, Sunday, Aug. 24, at 1:30 p.m.
