Green Bay, Wis. -- The Youngstown State women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Green Bay on Saturday afternoon at Santaga Stadium. The Penguins fall to 7-7-2 overall and 3-3-1 in the Horizon League.
With the win, Green Bay improves to 10-5-2 overall and 4-3 in the Horizon League.
The Phoenix scored both goals in the first 10 minutes of the match and that was all of the offense they needed.
Rhiana Stetler scored at the 6:14 mark of the match to give Green Bay a 1-0 lead.
Two minutes later, Abby Juzwik boosted the Phoenix lead to 2-0 at the 8:44 mark.
Senior goalkeeper Jackie Podolsky faced 25 shots, including 10 shots on goal, and tallied eight saves.
The Penguins managed just five shots and two shots on goal.
Youngstown State closes out the regular season at UIC, Friday, Oct. 31, at 8:30 p.m.
