Youngstown -- Senior Brittany Tenis scored two goals, including the game-winner with 2:29 left in regulation to lead the Youngstown State women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Cleveland State on Wednesday evening at Farmers National Bank Field.

Following a corner kick by Katie Hohmann and a scrum in the middle of the box, Tenis attempted a shot that was blocked. On the rebound, the senior from Flint, Mich., found an opening through a pack of both teammates and defenders and slid the game-winning goal into the lower-left corner of the net.

With the win, the Penguins improve to 7-6-2 overall and 3-2-1 in the Horizon League. Cleveland State falls to 8-7-2 overall and 3-3-1 in the league.

The Penguins also finish unbeaten at Farmers National Bank Field with a home record of 6-0-2.

Tenis also became the first player to score two goals in a match since Rachel Morrison scored twice against Canisius in 2012.

Over the first 37 minutes, the match was marred with 10 combined fouls and just seven total shots before YSU's Kathy Baquero was fouled in penalty box.

Tenis, who had scored earlier this season on a penalty kick, was called upon for the attempt and beat CSU goalkeeper Sarah Wood for a 1-0 lead at the 37:22 mark of the match.

At the 63:32 mark, Cleveland State's Allie Sieradzki knotted the match at 1-1 off a rebound from a Jackie Podolsky, who had eight saves, save after a shot by the Vikings' Amanda Sivic.

With those eight saves, senior Jackie Podolsky moves into seventh place on the YSU all-time saves chart with 168.

The Penguins visit Green Bay, Saturday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m.
