Greensboro, N.C. - Youngstown State junior sprinter Ciara Jarrett finished with the 21st-best time in three heats of action of the 200-meter dash during the final night of competition at the NCAA East Prelims at at the Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T.
The top three runners from each heat and the next six times advanced to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, next month.
Jarrett was in an extremely fast heat and had a time of 23.94 seconds, one night after running a 24.10 to move onto Saturday's competition.
The top two times in the 200m were in Jarrett's heat and four of the eight runners advanced to the NCAA meet.
