Rochester, Mich. --The Youngstown State women's soccer team's season came to an end after dropping a 6-2 decision to Oakland in the first round of the 2013 Horizon League Tournament in Rochester, Mich.

The Penguins finish the season with an overall record of 4-13-1 while Oakland improves to 10-8-1.

Oakland scored three goals in a 97 second span to take a 3-0 lead just 10 minutes into the match.

Junior Chelsey Haney got the Penguins on the board with her third goal of the season to cut the deficit to 3-1 at the 11:05 mark.

The Penguins got within one, 3-2, on sophomore Karlee Kline's first goal of the season at the 20:33 mark. Kline drilled a shot past Oakland goalkeeper Payj O'Shea after a pair of passes from Haney and freshman Kathy Baquero.

Oakland, though, answered with goals at the 25:28 and 27:36 marks of the first half to take a 5-2 lead at halftime.

The Golden Grizzlies added their sixth goal at the 52:09 mark to seal the victory.

Oakland outshot the Penguins, 25-14, including 16-8 in the first half. The Golden Grizzlies totaled 13 shots on goal compared to seven for YSU.
