Youngstown -- The Youngstown State women's soccer team has won three consecutive games for the first time in school history after defeating Ursuline College, 4-0, on Friday afternoon at Stambaugh Stadium.

The Penguins improve to 3-1-1 overall and Ursuline falls to 0-1.

Senior Geneva Strelka was credited her first goal of the season at the 26:33 mark when her corner kick deflected off an Ursuline player an into the net.

For the second time this season, freshman Jade Flory notched two goals in a game scoring at the 52:23 and 61:42 marks of the second half to put the Guins ahead, 3-0.

Flory's first goal came on a breakaway after a terrific pass from sophomore Rachel Morrison. She slipped passed the Ursuline defense for her second goal after a direct kick from junior Katie Peterlin.

Cori Stark scored her first goal of the season to put the Guins ahead 4-0 at the 70:49 mark to seal the game.

Sophomore Ali Viola recorded her second straight shutout and improved 3-0-1 in the net. It marks the first time a YSU goalkeeper has posted consecutive shutouts since Mariah Snyder accomplished the feat in 2008.

The Guins visit Canisius, Sunday, Sept. 4, at 2 p.m.
