Soccer Forced to Settle For 1-1 Double OT Tie at UMKC

Kansas City, Mo -- The YSU soccer team jumped out to an early lead but had to settle for a 1-1 double overtime tie against UMKC on Sunday at the UMKC Tournament.
The Guins move to 0-1-1 and the Kangaroos go to 0-0-2.
Freshman Jade Flory scored her first career goal to give the Guins an early 1-0 lead just 14 minutes into the contest.
UMKC's Taylor Bare knotted the match at 1-1 just 15 minutes into the second half.
Guins sophomore goalkeeper Ali Viola collected five saves and faced six shots on goal.
The Guins face visit VMI, Friday, Aug. 26, at 5 p.m.
