Youngstown -- The Youngstown State soccer team dropped its Horizon League opener to Milwaukee, 2-0, on Friday evening at Stambaugh Stadium.
The Penguins fall to 2-8 overall and 0-1 in the Horizon League while the Panthers improve to 5-3-2 overall and 1-0 in the league.
Milwaukee junior Sarah Hagen scored both goals for the Panthers - first on a penalty kick at the 37:14 mark and then a header at the 58:06 mark.
The Penguins took only three shots but goalkeeper Nicole Kline posted seven saves.
The Penguins host Horizon League member Green Bay, Sunday, Sept. 26, at Noon at Stambaugh Stadium.
