Peterlin's First Career Goal Lifts Soccer to 1-0 Win Over Green Bay

Youngstown -- Sophomore Katie Peterlin scored her first career goal to lead the Youngstown State soccer team to a 1-0 Senior Day victory over Horizon League foe Green Bay on Sunday at Stambaugh Stadium.
The Penguins improve to 3-8 overall and 1-1 in the Horizon League while the Phoenix fall to 2-6-2 overall and 0-2 in the league.
After a scoreless first half, Peterlin found the back of the net 10 minutes into the second half from a pass from Kelly Storkel after a free kick from Kelsey Kempton.
Junior goalkeeper tallied eight saves, including a point-blank stop with 10 minutes left to preserve her first shutout of the season.
The Penguins visit Horizon League foe Cleveland State, Friday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m.
