Canisius Topples Soccer, 2-1

Youngstown -- Freshman Allison Ludwig scored her seventh goal of the season but Canisius scored two second-half goals for a 2-1 win over the Youngstown State soccer team on Sunday afternoon at Stambaugh Stadium.
The Penguins fall to 2-5 overall while the Golden Griffs improve to 3-3.
Ludwig put the Guins ahead 1-0 at the 32:51 mark when she took a pass from sophomore Shelby Parks and lofted a shot passed goalkeeper Lesley Ivinac.
The Guins led 1-0 at the halftime and out-shot Canisius, 7-0, in the first half. However, the Golden Griffs rallied in the second half with 15 shots, including six shot on goal and two that slipped passed YSU keeper Nicole Kline.
Kelly Reinwald tied the game at the 56:38 mark and Brianna Smith provided the game-winning goal at the 68:04 mark.
The Penguins only took two shots in the second half.
The Penguins visit Oakland, Friday, Sept. 17, at 4 p.m. in Rochester, Mich.
