Ludwig Ties Freshman Scoring Record in 4-1 Loss to Detroit

Youngstown - Freshman Allison Ludwig tied the freshman scoring record with her eighth goal of the season but the Youngstown State women's soccer team fell to Detroit, 4-1, on Friday afternoon at Stambaugh Stadium.
The Penguins fall to 3-11 overall and 1-4 in the Horizon League while the Titans improve to 5-4-4 overall and 2-1-1 in the league.
The Titans scored twice each half and jumped out to 4-0 before Ludwig found the net with just under 10 minutes remaining in the game.
Senior Lauren Brennan, who set the freshman scoring record in 2007, was credited with her third assist of the season on Ludwigs goal.
The Penguins face Loyola, Sunday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. in Chicago, Ill.
