A four-time volleyball all-conference selection, Vickie Robinson established school career records for kills, kills per set and, at the time, hitting percentage becoming the most prolific offensive player in YSU history.

For her career she had 1,408 kills and a hitting percentage of .277. Her number of kills along with her 3.33 kills per set are still school records. Her .277 hitting percentage ranked first until current Penguin Ruth Boscaljon recently passed it.

She had 1,193 digs, 119 service aces, 103 assists, 110 solo blocks and 295 assists in 423 career games. Her block assists set a school mark while here total digs were second at the time her career ended. Her 405 total blocks were also second.

As a senior in 1999, Robinson was named a first-team all-conference selection. She became the fourth player in school history with more than 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. In 108 games, she had a career-high 429 kills in 884 attempts for a school-record .343 hitting percentage. Her 429 kills were the third most in a season in school history. She stepped up as a blocker with 61 solos and 106 assists to go along with 45 aces.

During the season she tied her career high with 24 digs against Duquesne. She blasted 10-or-more kills 25 times while recording 14 double-doubles.

The Penguins reached the Mid-Con Tournament final for the second straight year and won a school-record 27 matches, including a 13-1 conference ledger. For her efforts she earned the YSU/Vindicator Female Athlete-of-the-Year Award.

During her junior campaign in 1998, she was named first-team all-conference for the first time in her career. Robinson posted a team-high .285 hitting percentage with 388 kills. She had 300 digs as well. She blasted at least 10 kills on 23 occasions, including a season-high 20 against Eastern Michigan.

She helped lead the Penguins to the Mid-Con Tournament championship match as YSU won 20 matches.

As a sophomore, she finished with 353 kills and 309 digs to earn second-team Mid-Con honors. She posted a hitting percentage of .238 with a high of 24 kills in a victory over Niagara. Robinson tied her career high with 21 digs versus VCU.

During her freshman campaign in 1996, she showed strong all-around potential with 238 kills and 248 digs while being named second-team all-conference.

She was a member of the track and field squad and placed third in the long jump at the conference meet as a freshman.

She was a first-team all-state selection at Seneca High School where she was the school's Female Athlete of the Year.

She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science from YSU. She is an Exercise Physiologist at Hamot Medical and Cardiac Rehabilitation Center in Erie, Pa.

Vickie Senita and her husband, Lonnie, have a young son, Lucas.
