A four-year starter on the men's basketball team, Kenneth Bergman played for the Penguins from 1938 until 1942.
During his four-year career,Bergman spent time under the direction of two different head coaches, Ray Sweeney from 1938-40, and Dom Rosselli in 1940.
Bergman led the 1938-39 team in scoring and earned team captain honors in 1941-42. He graduÂated from Youngstown State with a degree in busiÂness.
During his professional career, Bergman spent 30 years with an investment company as a loan officer. He received several citations before retiring in 1978.
In 1960, he transferred to South Bend, Ind., where he experienced, what some might think, is the greatÂest job in the world.
Bergman spent some time as a stadium usher for Notre Dame football and basketball before retiring in the early 1980s. He now has a life-time pass for Fighting Irish football.
He attended Boardman High School, where he was a two-year letterwinner in football, basketball and track.
Bergman and his wife, Edna, reside in Columbus, Ind.
