NovaCare Partnership

The Youngstown State Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has an established partnership with NovaCare Rehabilitation to provide comprehensive care to Penguins student-athletes. NovaCare provides in-house athletic training and physical therapy services via the trusted individuals on staff. This partnership has allowed YSU Athletics to enhance patient-centered care and deliver a positive student-athlete experience.

Southwoods Partnership

Southwoods Health provides Youngstown State Student-Athletes high-level care for all athletic-related ailments and injuries. The department's medical director, Dr. Chad Cochran, DO, provides comprehensive medical care to YSU's student-athletes, allowing for consistent, continuous and timely sports medicine services.
