2023-24 (Senior): Earned the NCAA's Elite 90 Award for having the top grade-point average among student-athletes at the national championship site... Joined former teammate Sarah Florence and former Youngstown State football player Hunter Wells as the only two student-athletes in school history to earn the award…. Was voted a Second Team All-American by the National Tenpin Coaches Association and was named to the All-Central Region Honorable Mention Team by the same organization… Earned Conference USA’s Bowler of the Month Award for February… In addition to the Elite 90 Award, she was named to the National Tenpin Coaches Association All-Academic Team and earned Academic All-District Accolades by the College Sports Communicators… Was voted to the Conference USA All-Academic Team, and she was named to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll while also earning the Commissioner’s Academic Medal for having a GPA of at least 3.75… Averaged 213.13 per traditional game, which was eight pins higher than the record coming into the season… Also set a new school record with 37 games above 200, which was six higher than the previous record… Set the program record for highest overall scoring average at a tournament at the Hawk Classic with 22.92 pins per frame… Also averaged a program-best 24.24 pins per frame in Baker at the tournament… Set two school records at the Mid-Winter Invitational - highest five-game set (1,217) and tournament average for traditional play (243.40)… Was the highest finisher at three tournaments - the Penguin Classic, the Mid-Winter Invitational and the Music City Classic - for the first three wins of her career… Was the MVP at the Penguin Classic and the Mid-Winter Invitational… Also earned all-tournament accolades at the Conference USA Championship… Had two more top-15 finishes, placing eighth at the PVAMU Invitational and 14th at Destination Orlando… Bowled in the third spot in the lineup as the Penguins shot the second Baker 300 game in program history against Fairleigh Dickinson at the Hawk Classic on Nov. 17, 2023… The Penguins went on to shoot 1,323 against the Knights and threw 28 consecutive strikes over a stretch when they shot 279, 300 and 286 over the final three games… That was the second-highest set in any format in NCAA history… Was slotted fourth in the lineup when the Penguins fired a 299 in a Baker match two days later… Rolled a collegiate-best 279 at the Mid-Winter Invitational versus Vanderbilt (Feb 17)… Had an overall scoring average of 20.54, which was the third-best mark in program history… Averaged 20.01 pins per frame over 802 Baker frames… Registered a 51.56 strike percentage… Converted 70.31 percent of her spare attempts, and she had a mark in 85.62 percent of her frames.
2023 Summer: At the 2023 Junior Gold Championships, she made the cut for the Final Advancers Round and was 15 pins shy of qualifying for Match Play… She finished in 19th place at the tournament.
2022-23 (Junior): Named an Honorable Mention All-American by the National Tenpin Coaches Association, joining teammate Madyson Marx as the first two Penguins to earn the honor... Academically, named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team and to the SBL Academic Honor Roll... Bowled in 56 traditional games and averaged 202.77, which was the fourth-best mark in school history... Knocked down 11,355 pins in 56 games and broke 200 in 29 games, which were all second on the all-time list... Posted the second-highest Baker frame average ever by a Penguin at 20.27, and her 20.28 overall frame average was the third-highest in school history... Was a two-time all-tournament team selection during the season, and she had four top-10 finishes... Her best finish came in the season-opening MOTIV Penguin Classic where she placed fifth to earn All-Tournament Team honors, and she was also an all-tournament pick at the Northeast Classic when she finished ninth... Her other top-10 finishes were at the MOTIV Ladyjack Classic and the Big Red Invitational... Bowled in 838 Baker frames and 1,395 total frames, which were both second on the team... Led the Penguins by marking in 85.38% of her frames... Ranked second on the squad in both strike percentage (50.39) and spare percentage (70.52).
2022 Summer: Earned an invitation to join Junior Team USA based on her performance at the 2022 Junior Gold Championships... Had the third-highest total through the 26 games of qualifying at 5,181 pins for an average of 199.27... She went on to win two matches in match playand finished the tournament in a tie for seventh.
2021-22 (Sophomore): Earned All-Academic Team accolades from the NTCA and the Southland… Averaged 190.95 over 37 traditional games and posted a total pinfall of 7,065… Topped 200 in 13 of her traditional matches… Just missed earning all-tournament team honors at the MOTIV Penguin Classic as she placed sixth with a five-game set of 1,040…Her two highest games of the season came in back-to-back efforts at the PVAMU Invitational when she bowled a 256 against Prairie View A&M and a 264 versus Fairleigh Dickinson (1/29)… Occupied the second spot in the lineup when the Penguins posted their first 300 game in program history in a Baker match against Valparaiso on Feb. 25 at the Big Red Invitational… Youngstown State also set a school record for highest match total with a 1,189 against Valpo… Averaged 19.90 pins per frame in Baker matches over 630 frames… For the year, posted a 19.61 scoring average over 994 frames… Struck on 47.99 percent of her attempts, converted 68.47 percent of her spare chances and marked in 84.28 percent of her frames.
2020-21 (Freshman): Named to the Southland Bowling League All-Academic Team and an NTCA All-Academic scholar-athlete... Bowled in 35 team games and posted a pinfall of 6,910 for an average of 197.43... Topped 200 in 16 games with a high game of 254 at the Mid-Winter Invitational against Stephen F. Austin (3/13)... Averaged 207.7 over her last four tournaments of the season, and her average over those 21 games was the best on the team... Averaged a team-high 205.6 in traditional play at the NCAA Tournament, and she was YSU's second-highest scorer at the Mid-Winter Invitational and the Southland Bowling League Championship... Placed 11th at the season-opening Bearcat Hammer Open, and she finished 13th at the Mid-Winter Invitational... Bowled in 370 Baker frames and averaged 18.53 pins per frame... In the final three tournaments, she averaged 21.65 at the SBL Championship, 21.58 at the NCAA Regionals and 20.55 at the NCAA Final Four... Overall, bowled in 715 frames and recorded 336 strikes and 228 spares... Registered a 46.99 strike percentage, a 60.16 spare percentage and a 78.88 fill frame percentage.
2021 Summer: Competed in the Junior Gold Championships and placed 21st in the U18 division, which had 560 entries... She was 262nd after two rounds but battled her way up to 41st and the end of the fourth round and to as high as 19th after the advancers round... Finished 33 pins shy of advancing to match play.
High School: Was a three-time state qualifier for Tallmadge... Was the runner-up at the state tournament at the Division I level as a sophomore in 2018 when she posted a 681 series (258, 245 and 178)... Went on to place 16th as a junior and 12th as a senior... Led the Blue Devils to an 11th place finish at the state tournament in 2018 and a Suburban League Title and an eighth-place finish in the state in 2020... Was the first bowler in school history to qualify for the state tournament multiple times... Was twice named the Suburban League Bowler of the Year... Also named to the Best of Greater Akron All-Star Team in 2019... Set the school record for highest three-game series... Outside of the high school circuit, Moore has won multiple JTBA and Future Star titles, and she placed 31st at the 2018 Junior Gold Championships in the U15 Division... Graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a member of the National Honor Society... Served as the editor-in-chief of her high school newspaper, The Devils' Tale.
Personal: Parents are Rich and Shannon... Has a sister (Brooke)... Earned her bachelor's degree in English in Spring 2023... Is currently pursuing her master's degree in English... Was the 2022-23 recipient of the Ervin J. Dodge Scholarship endowment.
