High School
Was a four-year letter winner and starter at Ephrata high school…finished off her impressive high school career with 55 goals, 49 assists and 159 points… tabbed as an All-State honoree after her impressive senior season that saw her pour in a league-high 25 goals, 12 assists and 62 points… helped lead her team to a 21-4-1 record as they advanced to the 2018 AAAA State semifinals with Root netting seven goals, four game-winners, in the postseason run… named First Team All-League as a junior and senior while earning Second Team honors as a sophomore… was named Section Most Valuable Player after netting 17 goals and a league-high 13 assists while also leading her team to the 2017 Section Championship… also started at point guard for the basketball team.

Parents are Brienna and Jeffrey Root…Has one older sibling, Kennedy…Her father Jeffrey was a division I wrestler at Franklin and Marshall...Major is psychology...is the 2022-23 recipient of the Curbstone Coaches Athletic Scholarship endowment.
