Biography

2019 (Redshirt Sophomore): Played in seven games as a reserve on defense...recorded two tackles against Western Illinois...forced and recovered a fumble against the Leathernecks...earned his second letter.

2018 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in all 11 games as a reserve on defense and member of special teams...earned his first letter.

2017 (Freshman): Redshirted.

High School: Second-team Division IV All-Ohio selection as a defensive lineman...first-team Division IV All-Northeast Inland District pick...was a standout running back and defensive end for the Cardinals...finished the season with 906 rushing yards and 11 offensive touchdowns...tallied five sacks during the regular season and returned a fumble for a touchdown...had 76 tackles and 16 sacks in career...Mooney finished the season 8-3 in 2016 advancing to the second round of the Region 13 playoffs…coach was P.J. Fecko.
