YSU Men’s Golf Announces Schedule for Fall Portion of 2026-27 Season

Youngstown, Ohio – The Youngstown State men's golf team will compete in five tournaments across four different states from mid-September to late October during the fall portion of its 2026-27 season. YSU head coach Tony Joy announced the team's complete fall schedule on Wednesday.

"I believe our fall schedule will be very competitive especially with the addition of a new tournament at Davidson," Joy said. "The team is really looking forward to defending our title at Bucknell's event as well as finishing the fall season at Xavier, a team that won the Big East championship in the spring."

The Penguins will open the 2026-27 season on Sept. 14-15 with the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational at Guyan Golf and Country Club in Huntington, W. Va. YSU will compete in Marshall's fall event for the sixth consecutive season. YSU will then travel to Davidson, N.C., for the River Run Country Club Collegiate hosted by Davidson on Sept. 21-22 at River Run Country Club.

The Guins will return to the state of Ohio for the Tom Tontimonia Invitational hosted by Cleveland State on Oct. 5-6 at Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, Ohio. Youngstown State will also be participating in CSU's fall tournament for the sixth straight campaign.

The Penguins will play another familiar event at the Bucknell Invitational on Oct. 11-13 at Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa. YSU has also been a part of the tournament field at Bucknell's fall event each of the last five seasons.

Youngstown State will conclude its fall slate on Oct. 19-20 with the Xavier Fall Invitational at Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Guins will be competing at Xavier's fall tournament for the second straight season.
