Indianapolis, Ind. – For the second time this season, Youngstown State freshman Kennedy Kimball has been named the Under Armour Horizon League Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

This is the third time this season a Youngstown State pitcher has earned the league's weekly award. Kimball won the award on March 2, and Isabella O'Brien collected the honor on March 11.

Kimball went 2-0 with a 0.62 ERA, a shutout and seven strikeouts last week.

She fired a complete-game one-hitter in the Penguins' 8-0 win over the Titans and fired 6.1 innings of relief and posted seven strikeouts in the 10-4 victory.

 Kimball's 2.16 earned-run average ranks tied for second in the league while her 42 strikeouts rank fourth.

Youngstown State faces St. Bonaventure in a mid-week doubleheader, Tuesday, March 24, at 3 p.m. before hosting Northern Kentucky, March 27-28, in a three-game Horizon League series.
